November / December Happenings

The Grade 8 Classroom is a busy place right now.

Currently we are working on an integrated literacy  / geography / health unit which will culminate in a classroom community harvest dinner, in December. Stay tuned for details!

We have also recently begun a writing / art unit where students will create children's narratives and picture books. The books will be gifted to children who are guests of the Rosewood Shelter.

Finally, we are beginning  to rehearse for our part in Bayview's December Christmas Performance. We hope to see you there!

So many fun and exciting things to work on. Don't forget you and your child can log onto Google Classroom to have a look at some of our assignment learning goals, success criteria and graphic organizers.

The Mystery Tour Returns to Bayview!

Once again this year, the Grade 8's will be creating a suspenseful drama presentation that much of the school will be able to view. It's a fun and exciting project for the students that really fosters teamwork, cooperation, collaboration and creative thinking. Additionally, we focus on several learning goals throughout the curricula. Check out Google Classroom for a link to a list of some of the learning goals that will be covered. :)
